[edit] History
The school was named for Pierre Yves Elliott Trudeau, the twentieth Prime Minister of Canada. The original school, the North Arm School, was built in 1885. In 1912, when the first Walter Moberly Elementary School was constructed at Ross Street and East 59th Avenue, the original two-room school became the Walter Moberly Annex, serving K-3.
The new school opened in September 2002, adding grades 4-7 to the school. In January 2003, the school expanded with additional classrooms, an administration wing, library, gym, multipurpose room and computer lab.
