Ride With Funkmaster Flex is a TV show from 2003-2005 is produced by MTV Networks and is originally shown on Spike TV and RedMoxie. It is also broadcast on MuchMusic and ESPN with licensing agreement to MTV Networks.
The show is hosted by Hip-Hop DJ and car afficionado, Funkmaster Flex. The program documents the subculture of automobiles in Hip-Hop culture and hollywood celebrities. Each episode, host Funkmaster Flex shows viewers a look at automobiles with the most well-known celebrities tastes in automobiles.
Flex goes for test-drives in celebrities in their favourite automobiles and other vehicles. i.e. A private jet with P. Diddy.
Ride With Funkmaster Flex follows the likes described to as Cribs with cars, with other celebrities featured to include Donovan McNabb, Queen Latifah, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Dave Chappelle, Gene Simmons, Ashanti, Wyclef Jean, Moby, Dave Navarro, Travis Barker and Mariah Carey.
Flex also travels to America's biggest car shows to check-out and document the latest innovations in automotive technology and try-out new hydraulic systems, rims, engines, and other high-valued accessories. Flex and his team of car experts explain to viewers how they can implement these innovations and customize their ride to keep up with the latest trends in car customization.
Flex has done turntables with Travis Barker, Moby, Dave Navarro and many others.
