Sean L’Estrange signed for Kildare County in January of 2007 joining former Kilkenny City F.C. team mate Paul Donnelly at the club. He spent three seasons at Shelbourne before moving to Kilkenny City in 2006. He had made 37 apearances the previous season for Kilkenny City. Sean played his schoolboy football with Lourdes Celtic and Stella Maris.
He has ten Irish Schools International (under 18) caps, having captained the side for a season and was a member of the team which won the Centenary Shield played between the Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales in 2004.
