"Southern Comfort" consists of songs recorded before Anthony Hamilton received critical acclaim and reached platinum status with his second solo album, Comin' from Where I'm From. It is, after Soulife (released in the summer of 2005), the R&B artist's second and last album of tracks uncovered from the vaults, for which he worked closely with 3 producers (Fanatic, Doug Coleman and Ced Solo).
The album was leaked in its entirety on April 2, 2007.
