"Spaceboy" is the tenth track on the critically acclaimed album Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins. It is credited as being written by Billy Corgan and he has stated that the lyrics are very personal to him, as the lyrics are about his brother, Jesse. "Spaceboy" also features Billy Corgan playing the Mellotron. An alternate version of this song (most commonly seen in the unofficially released collection of rarities Mashed Potatoes) features Pink Floyd-esque slide guitar playing in the chorus instead of the Mellotron.
