Stutensee is a town in Northern Karlsruhe district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. A young city, which combines both future and tradition. A kind city in the countryside, but an important position in the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe too, that's the short, but suitable description of Stutensee.
It was founded in 1975 by the voluntary connection of the four villages Blankenloch with Büchig, Friedrichstal, Spöck and Staffort. In the meantime it became a lively city with more than 22.000 inhabitants.
Castle of Stutensee is the geographic center and gave also its name to the city. It was built in 1749 by the margrave of Baden, by the 1000-years-old oak trees. Today an institution of the Landeswohlfahrtsverband is located here.
