super FLORENCE jam is an Australian rock band, formed in late 2005, that is based in Sydney. Although the band's live performances often result in extended instrumental sections, impromptu medleys and improvisation ('jamming') there is no further explanation of their name, or its unusual capitalisation.

The beginning of super FLORENCE jam (sFj) can be traced to 2004, when the band was unofficially formed by established local musicians (featured in rock bands Valhalla and Prowler) for an impromptu recording session at Sydney's Q Studios. Since then, the essence of what became known as super FLORENCE jam has shifted a number of times, before finally emerging as the explosive and original hard rock quartet seen today.
super FLORENCE jam is made up of Adam Krawczyk (vocals and guitar), Laurence Rosier Staines (guitar and vocals), Alex Tulett (bass guitar) and Mike Solo (drums). They have featured at Sydney venues including the Metro, Candy's Apartment, the Annandale, the Excelsior and the 2006 Shoreshocked Festival, playing alongside bands such as Dallas Crane, Shihad and Hell City Glamours.
The group released their first CD in early 2006, featuring four original tracks. In November 2006, they released their self-titled EP, featuring eight tracks including the original four - Dream, We're Finished, All You Got and Recital Blues - as well as four new recordings.
super FLORENCE jam placed first in the UNSW Band Competition 2005, and second in the Sydney University Band Competition 2006; the band won The Noisies' "Outstanding New Band" award 2006.
