"Walk" is one of heavy metal band Pantera's most popular and influential songs from the 1992 album Vulgar Display of Power.
The song is about being respected, instead of being stabbed in the back and used as a subject of gossip. The song has an in-your-face attitude propelled by Phil Anselmo's vocals. However, the sludge-powered bass of Rex Brown, the drumming of Vinnie Paul, and guitar style of Dimebag Darrell all contribute to the song's effectiveness. One should note that the song has a powerful, steady "walking" rhythm, fitting the song's title rather well. A live performance of "Walk" is included on Official Live: 101 Proof, and the studio version is also on the band's greatest hits album, The Best of Pantera: Far Beyond the Great Southern Cowboys' Vulgar Hits!.
