Noticed a lot of the SG-1/Atlantis episode pages lack consistency in their headings and subheadings. Should consider coordinating and designing a standard layout for episode pages. - Count23 14:07, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Done: Checked and made sure that all SG-1 S1-S10 eps and SGA S1-S3 eps can easily be found via the wiki search (or by extention through disambiguation pages etc.) based on just the ep name. – sgeureka ^t•c 11:01, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Project overview

Goals

To create a complete and comprehensive episode guide.
To create profiles for all major facets, characters, races and technologies in the Stargate universe, and create a consistent look for each kind of page.
To organize all Stargate pages and link them all systematically, making the Stargate database easy to navigate.

Scope

This WikiProject aims to improve and organise articles relating to Stargate and all its spin-offs. It attempts to coordinate the writing efforts, organize and create standards for making good articles. It endeavours to create a good reference for the Stargate universe in encyclopedic terms.
Even though all topics will be worked on, this project will make a particular effort regarding the episode guide. It endeavours to create a page for each Stargate episode, with complete information within.
We do not need fancruft or pages on minor things, such as The Stargate's Third Chevron.

Remember: don't treat Stargate as real; write from an out-of-universe perspective.
Add verifiable external references to as many Stargate articles as possible.
Add fair use rationales to all images, particularly screenshots.
Make sure all episode citations are like this: "Lost City" (SG-1). (The show disambiguation is optional when it's obvious).
Strip away fancruft pages, merge stubs into more informative articles.
Add {{stargateproject}} to the Talk pages of all Stargate articles.

Stargate

Stargates, as depicted in the Stargate science fiction universe, are large, ring-shaped devices that use advanced technology for nearly instantaneous personal travel across the vast distances of space. They first appeared in the 1994 film Stargate, directed by Roland Emmerich, and then were redesigned to subsequently appear in the television series Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis (as well as the animated series Stargate Infinity). The Stargate is the central plot generator of these productions, allowing for stories focused on a small team of protagonists exploring other planets and meeting other races on foot, rather than the more prevalent, grandiose "space opera" of interstellar starships seen elsewhere in science fiction.
