WSPX-TV is the ION Television affiliate in Syracuse, New York, which is owned by ION Media Networks. The station broadcasts on UHF channel 56, with no current digital signal (a petition for rulemaking has been filed by the station for a channel 14 application). It has been operating since November 24, 1998[1].
WSPX has filed an application with the FCC to broadcast its digital signal on channel 14, where WSTQ-LP is now. If the application is granted, WSTQ will be required to relocate to another channel.
