Yitzchok Dovid Groner

Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Groner, is the head Chabad shaliach ("emissary") to Australia, and the director of the Yeshivah Centre and numerous other Chabad institutions in Melbourne, Australia, including the Yeshiva Shul, the Kollel Menachem Lubavitch, a boys' school known as Yeshivah College, a girls' school known as Beth Rivkah Ladies College, a seminary for girls known as Ohel Chana, and others.
Born in New York to a Chabad family, he arrived in Australia along with his Rebbetzin Devorah for the first time in 1949 at the bidding of Rabbi Joseph Isaac Schneerson.
He has been referred to as one of the pioneers and builders of the Melbourne Jewish community. Rabbi Groner is also known for his awe-inspiring sermons and rousing High Holiday cantorial services (chazzanut) in the Yeshivah Synagogue, specifically Ne'ilah.
He has numerous children and grandchildren who live both "downunder" and overseas.
