Édité au départ par Philips au Royaume-Uni sous le titre David Bowie et par Mercury aux États-Unis sous le titre Man of Words / Man of Music, il fut réédité par RCA en 1972 sous le titre Space Oddity, nom sous lequel il est connu depuis.
