Bert Ira Gordon è un regista statunitense nato il 24 settembre 1922 a Kenosha, nel Wisconsin.
Ha studiato all' Università del Wisconsin.
Produttore di Tv commerciali e di varie serie televisive, Bert Gordon entrò nell'industria cinematografica come produttore e regista di film di fantascienza a basso costo.
Spesso realizzò personalmente gli effetti speciali per i suoi film, facendosi aiutare dalla moglie Flora M. Gordon.
La figlia Susan è un'attrice.
