Notes:

1. The yellow light in the back is known as a "whoopie light" and is used in conjunction with MILES equipment for simulated combat. A "kill" shot on this vehicle would cause the light to flash.
2. The smoke dischargers are both empty
3. The canon fire simulator (the nine circles immediately above the gun tube) is loaded. The charges, appearing here as white circles, simulate the sound and smoke that the main gun would make when firing. They basically work like "blanks" for the canon.
4. The M60A3 turret was converted from the M60A1 turret. Note the blister on the left side of the turret (right side of the image). On the A1 this would have contained range finding optics. The right side blister was converted to hold a laser range finder. The On the A3, the left side blister served no useful purpose.
5. The door to the laser range finder is open. It's immediately above the right-side smoke discharger (on the left side of the image).
