William Faulkner

William Cuthbert Faulkner (25 de setembre, 1897 – 6 de julhet, 1962) foguèt Prèmi Nobel de literatura. Se considera qu'es un dels mai importants escrivans de ficcion dels Estats Units.
Amb Mark Twain e probablament Tennessee Williams, Faulkner es un dels escrivans màgers de la literatura del sud dels Estats Unitas. Èra pas gaire conegut abans que li donèssen lo Prèmi Nobel de Literatura en 1949, pr'aquò son òbra es ara fòrça apreciada pel grand public e los critics.
