Patricia Highsmith

Patricia Highsmith (Fort Worth, Texas, 19 de Janeiro de 1921 - Locarno, Suíça, 4 de Fevereiro de 1995) foi uma escritora estado-unidense famosa pelos seus thrillers criminais psicológicos. Tornou-se mundialmente famosa por Strangers on a Train, que teve já várias adaptações para cinema, a mais famosa de Alfred Hitchcock em 1951, e pela série Ripliad com a personagem Thomas Ripley. Escreveu também muitas histórias curtas, frequentemente macabras, satíricas ou tingidas de humor negro.
