Frankenstein is a gothic novel by the English writer Mary Shelley. The novel is about a young scientist that creates life.

Frankenstein is telling his story to Captain Robert Walton. Frankenstein leaves his family to continue his studies. In his search, he discovers how to give life to lifeless matter. He collects body parts and builds a monsterous creature. When the creature is brought to life, Frankenstein does not like the look of it. He runs away. The monster feels very sad and gets very angry. He wants revenge.
