- Quake is also a short-form of the word earthquake.
Quake is a violent first-person shooter computer game that was released by id Software on July 22 1996. It was the first game in the popular Quake series of computer and video games.
Quake is about killing demons and zombies, but also has multiplayer deathmatch.

There are 8 weapons in Quake.
1. Axe - This weapon does not use ammo. It is not very strong.
2. Shotgun - You start with this weapon. It is stronger than the axe, but needs to use ammo.
3. Double (or "super") Shotgun - This weapon is twice as strong as the shotgun. It needs to use twice as much ammo.
4. Nailgun - This weapon can shoot nails very fast. It uses up ammo very fast as well.
5. Perforator (or Super Nailgun) - This weapon shoots bigger nails than the Nailgun. It can hurt monsters more.
6. Grenade Launcher - This weapon shoots grenades which explode after a while. It can hurt you if you are too close.
7. Rocket Launcher - This weapon shoots fast rockets. It can also hurt you if you are too close.
8. Thunderbolt - This weapon shoots electricity. It will kill you if you use it under water.
