Edward Osborne Wilson (* 10. jún 1929 Alabama, USA ) je americký prírodovedec, biológ a entomológ.

Edward O. Wilson e zakladateľom sociobiológie. Pôsobí ako emeritný profesor na Harvard University. Foundation for the Future mu v roku 2000 udelila prvú Kistlerovú cenu - The Kistler Prize Táto cena mu bola udelená za originálnu prácu pri výskume sociálnych implikácií genetiky. Je tiež držiteľom Pulitzerovej ceny.
