From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires you to provide no personal information, and gives you many benefits, including:
- The use of a username of your choice
- The ability to view all your contributions via a "My contributions" link
- Your own user page
- Your own talk page which, if you choose, also allows users to send you messages without knowing your e-mail address
- The use of your own personal watchlist to which you can add articles that interest you
- The ability to rename pages
- The ability to upload images
- The ability to customize the appearance and behavior of the website
- The eligibility to become an administrator
- The right to be heard in formal votes and elections, and on pages like votes for deletion
- Your IP address will no longer be visible to other users.
We hope that you choose to become a Wikipedian and create an account. Thanks, Alphax τεχ 11:09, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Removing comments
Hi DotSix,
In this edit [1] you reverted a talk page to a much older version, erasing comments which were written by several other users. You are also incorrect about the proper placement of sections: While the custom on the RFC page is to list newer issues at the top, talk pages always keep newer issues at the bottom. This may be confusing to new users. In the future please place new sections at the bottom of talk pages. And if you erase another user's comment again I will block you from editing. Rhobite 23:00, July 25, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] RFC
This message is for the user who goes by "DotSix". He appears to share his IP address with other users. If you are not DotSix, you can safely ignore the following.
I have filed a request for comment on your conduct. It is available at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/DotSix. Please write your response there. I'm disappointed that you ignored my requests to discuss this issue through e-mail or IRC. I had hoped that we could come to a compromise. Rhobite 01:55, July 27, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Dot-Six
Arbitration is being discussed as a remedy for disruption of Wikipedia by an anonymous editor known as .6 or Dot-Six who is thought to use this address. The details are in the page Wikipedia:Requests for comment/DotSix. If anyone is editing from this address who is not Dot-Six, they may wish to create an account so that they are not blocked.
