[edit] Missing A Record
As of 21-Mar-2007, a reverse DNS lookup via dig and www.dnsstuff.com on IP Address 64.35.192.215 reports a PTR record originating from nameserver D.DNS.TDS.NET for smtp.kearsarge.k12.nh.us, but on a forward lookup on this name, ns-xfer1.svc.tds.net (Start of Authority for kearsarge.k12.nh.net) reports no host with the name smtp.kearsarge.k12.nh.us (No A Record) ARIN WHOIS database attributes the range 64.35.192.0 - 64.35.207.255 to TDS Telecom. There seems to be no basis for holding Kearsarge Regional School District responsible for activity on this IP address. I changed the template on the basis of this. Gosgood 14:25, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Update: There is a web server running on port 80 of 64.35.192.215 which appears to support the business operations of SonicWall, a vendor of firewalls, internet security solutions, and data backup solutions. It would seem that this ought to be regarded as the responsible party for activity on this particular IP address. Gosgood 17:38, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
