[edit] "Cartoon" to "Animated Series"
It is not important to change every single use of "cartoon" in Wikipedia to "animated series". Synonyms can be used on Wikipedia. Ryulong 08:10, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it is, especially when it's used as a link. "Cartoon series" would a better definition since it redirects to "Animated television series". If it's not important, then why do you care anyway?
- I was referring to your edits to templates where you replaced "cartoon" with "animated series" when "cartoon" is in the name of the link, like if I were to type [[animated television series|cartoon]], it would not be necessary to replace cartoon at all. Ryulong 21:46, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to The Boondocks (TV series). It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- H·G (words/works) 06:39, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IBM and "Stop changing this"
Welcome!
Hello, 64.53.74.151, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
However, IBM is no longer considers itself an "American" company. Is the goal to highlight American innovation? By the way, putting "Stop changing this" in your edits line is seldom considered good form. CMacMillan 06:19, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Whatever.

- That last edit is better, but consider US-based or America-based rather than American-based. I guess given your editing efforts, the "whatever" comment was to be expected. CMacMillan 06:31, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Why does it matter? It's still the same thing.
[edit] User talk page
Please do not remove legitimate warnings from your talk page or replace them with inappropriate content. Removing or maliciously altering warnings from your talk page will not remove them from the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted legitimate comments. If you continue to remove or vandalize legitimate warnings from your talk page, you will lose your privilege of editing your talk page. Thanks. Tuxide 04:22, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! Tuxide 05:19, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Cool, I guess. --64.53.74.151 05:22, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Regional Boosterism
Your recent edits highlighting American people/corporations, and downplaying corporations from other countries appears to be regional "boosterism", which is frowned upon. Viable descriptions of regional connections are welcome, but please don't highlight one at the expense of another.
You're more than welcome to ask any regular if you have any questions... whether we agree with you or not. CMacMillan 05:31, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Uh, who cares what I do? Are you watching me? --64.53.74.151 05:53, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

- Everyone who works to keep Wikipedia viable and as vandal- and bias-free as possible. There are thousands who contribute to the encyclopaedia regularly. And no, I don't have either the time or interest to watch you. Your edits are highlighted by automated bots, and by proponents of the articles you're changing. If you think you need someone to watch you, just ask. There are many people who make the same kinds of edits that you do who would be willing to do that. CMacMillan 03:18, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Forgot to add... there are users in South Carolina who could help.

[edit] Re: Edits to Family Guy
Family Guy is not a sitcom. Please don't change things for no reason, and if you believe you have a valid reason to change it, discuss it on the article's talk page - Talk:Family Guy, and remember to use edit summaries to describe what you changed and why when making edits to articles. Thanks --Sagaciousuk (talk) 19:41, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
If it's not a sitcom, then you could at least make it "animated television series" instead of "animated comedy" which redirects to "animated cartoon", which refers to animated shorts instead of animated TV series. But whatever, I don't give a shit. Do whatever you like since this is turning into an edit war. Oh, by the way, you better delete "Category:Animated sitcoms" on the FG page since you're desperate to prove your point. --64.53.74.151 21:11, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
