[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my Talk page or you can type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!
Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Wesley 16:51, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] August 2006
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Lone Wolf (gamebooks). It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --Krich (talk) 15:47, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] December 2006
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to User talk:82.109.66.148. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Mufka 16:10, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Royal Army Chaplains' Department
Not sure why you removed the apostrophe. It is a correct part of the department's name and is also correct English. -- Necrothesp 13:02, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding edits made during February 19, 2007
Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any unconstructive edits. Majorly (o rly?) 14:35, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cheshire
Your edit to Cheshire was reverted. Officially, Cheshire is in the North West, and not the Midlands. I hope I am correct in assuming this was a good-faith edit. DDStretch (talk) 13:35, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
