Could someone please tell me where to download skins for Wikipedia and how to install them?

Can you clarify what you mean by skins? Skins are available in user preferences but are not downloadable and installable other than by the wikimedia server admins. --pgk 18:56, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

The reason for my question is that if you look around wikipedia some peoples user space looks different to others (e.g. User:Essjay), some people refer to those as skins, though they are create through normal wiki markup on the pages. If you are interested in general look of all wikipedia pages you can override .css elements via your own User:Adriaan90/monobook.css, though I'm not that familiar with it nor do I know of any guides. --pgk 19:10, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Monobook.js

They dont necessarly change the appearace of wikipedia but it serves to give users addional tools that wikimedia doesnt necessarly offer IE edit count tools Lupin's PopUp's and other tools. Betacommand ^{(talk • contribs • Bot)} 15:00, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Flavor of the Weak

Your revision and renaming of "Flavor of the Weak" was inappropriate and should have been discussed first. The song title appears as "Flavor of the Weak" on the CD, on the overseas singles, and appeared that way on the charts. A misspelling on one website hardly trumps that. In the future, discuss moves on article talk pages before making such changes. GassyGuy 18:55, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

On a further note, I've just looked at the website you claimed as the source, and that also spells it "Flavor of the Weak," not Week, as you claim. Please check your facts carefully. GassyGuy 18:57, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Strand

It looks like the problem was with the name of the article. I've changed the name of it from Strand, Cape Town to Strand, Western Cape to match the names of articles on other South African towns which use the name of the province to disambiguate. You can see the others in Category:Towns in South Africa. So now the disambiguation page reads "Strand, Western Cape, South Africa". Recury 14:20, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

SouthAfrican geo stub template

Hi Adriaan

I don't know which unwritten convention you are referring to, but the stub templates are maintained by WP:WSS which has not approved anything of the sort. We format our templates according to a standard look specified by WP:STUB and we try very hard to preserve a consistent look for the templates. You can see the standard code on WP:STUB. I have sorted countless stubs and cleaned up the code of several hundreds of similar stub templates, and the South African one is the one sticking out. This becomes more obvious when articles use more than one stub template, which is often the case. If you feel that our guideline's standard code should be revised, feel free to propose it at WP:WSS, but for the moment I am reverting your edit to our standard layout. I see no reason why the South African template should use a different format than - effectively - all other stub templates. Cheers. Valentinian ^{(talk) / (contribs)} 18:42, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

No harm done :) You are right that a few templates used a differing format for some unknown reason, but WP:WSS is trying to straighten things out. Help

I am currently blocked from editing by User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me, however I have not done anything such as vandalism or whatever. How do I notify this person that he made a mistake? I E-mailed him but nothing happened. --Adriaan90 16:11, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

You are not blocked. Perhaps an article you want to edit has been protected from editting? What were you trying to do when you decided you were blocked? - UtherSRG (talk) 16:57, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
