[edit] Trivia

- The game makes a short cameo in the movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day. John is playing the game when Tim comes and tells him there's a cop (T-1000) looking for him.
- The game is also played by Powers Boothe in the HBO original movie By Dawn's Early Light (1990).
- You could complete the first 10 or so levels without getting hit simply by holding the joypad (left or right) on the Master System version. The Master System version of the game also referred to its fighter as the "F-14+ Thunder Cat"
- In the 1988 arcade game Power Drift, the fighter is a hidden vehicle which can only be accessed by placing first for all five tracks on courses B and D. It is only playable in the Extra Stage.
- In some versions, it is possible to beat the game by positioning the fighter in the top left corner of the screen. Enemy fighters can not hit the player's fighter in this position.
