Albanella

Albanella is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It is located 51 kilometers from the city of Salerno. Albanella [1] has a population of 6,317 inhabitants, referred to as Albanellesi, and a surface area of 39.8 square kilometers. The postal code is 84044 and the telephone prefix is 0828. The patron saint of the town is Saint Sophia. [2] The Church of Saint Sophia (La Chiesa di Santa Sofia) was built in the year 1500. The town slogan is "la terra degli ulivi," which translates to "the land of the olive trees" in English. Olive oil is one of the principal products of the town.
