Alex Rhodes (born January 23, 1982) is a professional footballer currently playing for Conference team Grays Athletic on loan from Brentford.
Rhodes is generally considered to be a striker, but his pace means that he is also effective as a left-winger.
Rhodes was signed from Newmarket Town in the 2003-2004 season. He suffered a serious knee injury against Walsall F.C. in January 2005 causing him to be out of football for over a year, but he now seems to have fully recovered.
His close skills were evident when he turned the A.F.C. Bournemouth defence to score the only goal of the last game of the 2003-2004 season to guarantee Brentford's League One survival.
Recently he attended a prize giving, as a guest of honour, for the Cambridge and District Colts League for everyone from Under 15 to Under 17 age groups at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge.
Tuesday 10th Octoeber 2006, Rhodes signed for League Two side Swindon Town on a months loan deal. He has returned from this loan spell, but has since been transfer listed by new manager Scott Fitzgerald. On March 9, 2007, Rhodes embarked on a new loan spell at Grays Athletic.
