[edit] Buenos Aires
The city of Buenos Aires was federalized in 1880 and not with the 1994 Constitunional reform as the article apparently states.
[edit] Autonomous Provinces in Italy
Please, notice that Italy has two autonomous provinces, not one. Autonomous region Trentino-Upper Adige or Trentino-South Tyrol is composed with two autonomous provinces: the Autonomous Province of Bozen or Bolzano (corresponding to Upper Adige or South Tyrol), having a majority of German-speaking people, and the Autonomous Province of Trento (corresponding to Trentino), which is Italian at all, but obtained authonomy to be equal to the other province of the same region. Actually, there is no longer a regional council separated from the provincial ones. Regional Council is composed with the two provincial council in joined assembly. The two Provincial Presidents are, in turn, Region Presidents. I noticed that my addition of the province of Trento was removed and I restored it. I don't understand because someone wants to cover reality. Val, Italy
- Hi Val: Try amending the list again but this time include a reference or two; if someone then reverts your amendments, your reference/s may be checked and the reversion undone. Best wishes, David Kernow (talk) 13:04, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] MOUNT ATHOS
For what I know Mount Athos is an Authonomous Republic inside Greece, not an authonomous region. I never heard such a definition. Though under the sovereignity of Greece it is ruled by an elected Council, made with two deputies for every monastry. Val
- Please supply some kind of reference/s (ideally internet) and its designation will be amended. Thanks, David Kernow (talk) 13:00, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
References? It's enough you surf in the Internet by words "Mount Athos" and you'll find every kind of news. By the way, Mount Athos was a Republic also when Greece was a monarchy! I find interesting the site www.mountathos.gr (in Greek, but with a translation into English) where administration system is clearfly explained, also with reference to Greek Consitution. More, if you simply digit Republic of Mount Athos, you'll find a lot of English-written sites about. Val
[edit] Two largest countries?
By what measure are Russia and China the two largest countries? China is the largest by population, and Russia by area, but China is fourth by area and Russia 8th by population. Twin Bird 00:24, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- The wording was obviously flawed. I made some minor changes.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 03:11, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
