BCG Vaccine Laboratory, Chennai, is a sub-ordinate office of Directorate General of Health Services of the Government of India.

Established on May 1, 1948, the BCG Vaccine Laboratory was founded to produce and supply liquid Bacillus Calmette-Guérin Tuberculosis vaccines (BCG vaccine) and Tuberculins in collaboration with Statens Serum Institute (SSI), of Copenhagen, Denmark, through the World Health Organization.

The laboratory carries out the activities of:
- Manufacturing and supplying freeze dried BCG vaccine, for control of childhood Tuberculosis Meningitis and for cancer chemotherapy
- Producing purified protein derivative RT for diagnosis of Tuberculosis
- Acting as national quality control laboratory for BCG vaccine
