Bernhard 'Bernd' von Beyenbach, div. von Beyenbach-Lahnstein, b. von Beyenbach is a fictional character on German soap opera Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). The character is portrayed by Ron Holzschuh since March 19, 2003.
The father of Vanessa von Beyenbach (Inez Björg David) and brother of Martin von Beyenbach (Gerry Hungbauer). He was married to his brother's ex-wife Beatrice (Jeannine Burch) and to the lebian Carla von Lahnstein (Claudia Hiersche). But his marriage with Carla, was a fake for Johannes von Lahnstein (Thomas Gumpert), Carla's father, because he didn't know that his daughter is homosexual. After the lie came out, Johannes wanted still that Carla marry Bernd, but their marriage broke, when Carla wanted to say that she is a lesbian.
After her marriage with Carla, Bernd had very much money problems. He found in the rich bistro owner Charlie Schneider (Gabriele Metzger) the best victum and made, that she fall in love with him. Charlie's brother Lars (Herbert Ulrich) and also Carla warned Charlie about Bernd, but she did't listen to them. Bernd's game seems to be a success, but then he slept with a attractiv, young woman. He did'nt know that this was Charlie's niece Olivia (Kristina Dörfer). She blackmailed Bernd and wanted money for her dissolute life. But then Olivia must see that Bernd had no money and she disclose Charlie, on her engagement party with Bernd, that she slept with him. Bernd left the town, after he was thinking, that Charlie can't forgive him.
