[edit] Image Tagging Image:Lord.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Lord.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Secretlondon 17:13, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Hinduism
Hi Bhudiya. I noticed that you replaced the image on the Meenakshi temple with one on a Swaminarayan temple in Ahmedabad. Please give your reasoning for doing so. Perhaps we can arrive on a common conclusion. Thanks and happy editing --Deepak|वार्ता 21:07, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Temple4.jpg has been listed as a possible copyright violation
An image that you uploaded, Image:Temple4.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. |

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Acharya rakeshprasadji.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Acharya rakeshprasadji.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 09:38, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Hh01.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Hh01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 12:35, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copying
[edit] Bhagwan Swaminarayan
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the Bhagwan Swaminarayan article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! -Will Beback 22:11, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Let me remind you that the www.Swaminarayan.info is part of the Swaminarayan Samprday and by being a member of the Swaminarayan Sampraday I am allowed to borow this from the site Raj - सनातन धर्म 08:04, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- In this instance we'd need to have a release from the webmaster or other identifiably responsible party of the organization. Please have someone use this link to email from the www.Swaminarayan.info to indicate that they are releasing the material under the GFDL, which allows for almost unlimited future commercial and non-commercial use and modication. That is the standard procedure for handling these copyright issues. Cheers, -Will Beback 08:38, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:SMM.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:SMM.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday
This was a duplicate article. Please do not continue working on this copy of the Bhagwan Swaminarayan article. Sfacets 16:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
No this is not a duplicate article it has some info on Bhagwan Swaminarayan but the Shree Swaminarayan Samprday is more about that sect and the work that they do just likeBAPS if you think Shree Swaminarayan Samprday is the same than you should mearge the BAPS page aswell why dont you do that because its a differant sect just like the Swaminarayan Sampraday.
Raj - सनातन धर्म 10:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Then why does it contain almost identical content, except for a few paragraphs? Sfacets 10:34, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Because most of it is from editors of the Swaminarayan Sampraday but because this is a sect of Bhagwan Swaminarayan it needs to have some background info of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. But this can be changed.
May I suggest you move your edits to a new article which better describes the subject and thus removes any ambiguity? Sfacets 10:39, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
But it does not really have much ambiguity but I can re work the Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday so it is more focused on the sect and small amounts on Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Raj - सनातन धर्म 10:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
It should have a very small amount of info on Bhagwan Swaminarayan... a paragraph tops... but that still leaves the quesion of the name unresolved. Also the images used in both articles produces confusion.
A clear distinction should be made on the Bhagwan Swaminarayan article between the different sects (BAPS etc...) and this should be reflected in the structure (sections) of the article... Sfacets 10:51, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
This can be done the images can be changed and differnt info.

[edit] Gadhada I-41
As for Gadhada I-41, I interpret it as Bhagwan Swaminarayan is the Supreme, and he forever resides in Akshar; this is nothing contrary to what BAPS propagates, for Maharaj forever resides within his devotee who remains in constant service of him, one of two forms mentioned by Maharaj in Gadhada I-21. Akshar manifest is Pramukh Swami Maharaj, so he resides with him fully. Again, this is my interpretation since you asked for it some time back.
