Bishop's Tachbrook
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bishop's Tachbrook is a village and civil parish in the Warwick district of Warwickshire, England, about three miles south of Warwick and Leamington Spa. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 2,514. Many of the buildings in the village are of traditional half-timbered design.
The Village has a large sense of community with a successful church,a Sports and Social Club. The village has a strong sense of self sufficiency with an active Parish Council, village primary school and a few small retail premises including a hairdresser's and village stores.
There is also a GastroPub which is "a recreation of a Seventies Steak House". Unfortunately it is too good a recreation with the food being of passable quality and overpriced, just like in the Seventies. Avoid altogether if you are Vegetarian - there is nothing enjoyable for you here, on a menu of over thirty eight items there is just a six pounds cheese sandwich.
