The Blanco Galindo Avenue, named after Carlos Blanco Galindo, is the busiest stretch of road in the Cochabamba Department of Bolivia. It links the city of Cochabamba with the provincial town of Quillacollo.
The stretch on the national highway which is named Avenida Blanco Galindo is only 13 kilometers long. It is part of the highway system that crosses Bolivia from East to West and connects La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the 3 biggest urban centers in Bolivia.
In local urban folklore, Blanco Galindo Avenue is called "the avenue of death" in allusion to a relatively high number of lethal traffic accidents.
