Blindern is a station on Sognsvannsbanen located in the Vestre Aker borough, between Majorstuen and Forskningsparken. It is also served by T-baneringen. The station is located on the south side of the campus of the University of Oslo, and is therefore one of the larger stations on the line. The station served as the western terminus for line 5 (Grorudbanen) until the first part of T-baneringen was opened. The station was opened in 1934, and was originally named Blindernveien.
