[edit] Churchill County High School
Hi, you may like to comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Churchill County High School TerriersFan 21:18, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks...very interesting debate. It goes far beyond the actual article, and questions what notability is, and how to define that. Therefore, it questions a part of the foundation of Wikiepdia. Bmrbarre 21:49, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Arthur Bruno Zorn
- It was moved because of a discussion on this page. An AFD process happens when another editor feels the page you submitted is not suitable for Wikipedia as it was written. You are free to work on it in your user subspace: User:Bmrbarre/Arthur Bruno Zorn. --BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, odometer) 22:06, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. Your explanation was very helpful, as was your userfication (is that a word?) Bmrbarre 22:14, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. —Pilotguy push to talk 02:26, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[edit] Recommendation
Just a recommendation, you may want to consider putting yourself up for "adoption." You seem to have a lot to contribute and, with a mentor over you shoulder, you'll definitely increase your productivity with such help. See Adopt-a-User for more details.

[edit] AfD nomination of Fred Swan
An editor has nominated Fred Swan, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fred Swan and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Help
You seem to know a lot about the notability policy and just Wikipedia in general, so could you please help me this one time, or at least give me some advice on how to stick up for my articles. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fred_Swan please. Thanks, Bmrbarre 23:39, 25 February 2007 (UTC) Drop me a note
- I have cleaned the article up a bit. Two avenues are needed to ensure that an article is kept:
- Links from other articles - I have added links from Spaulding High School and Barre (city), Vermont.
- Independent sources - you need to find reviews of his work in significant publications.
- I have supported the retention of the article since the AfD is premature but long term independent references are the key to an article being kept. Please get back to me if I can help further. TerriersFan 00:32, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. TerriersFan 17:47, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Thought I'd let you know that someone has nominated St. Monica's for deletion. See Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Saint_Monica's_Church. SERSeanCrane 04:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Book
You can add a Book as a source just use "<ref>Author, Title, place and date of publication, page numbers</ref>" after the material you are sourcing from it. Written sources (as many as possible) are likely to support its retention. --Docg 14:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stowe Recreation Path
This is looking a very good article - well done. You might like to look at some of the edits that I have made to Stowe Recreation Path. The key points that might be of help to you are:
- The title of the article should be repeated in the first sentence and bolded - see WP:MOS.
- Please note how I have named references to eliminate the need to duplicate identical references.
- A description of the reference should be included in the reference. This is much more important than the access date since it enables the reader to determine whether they are interested in the reference without having to click on it.
- Please see how I have linked the article from Stowe, Vermont - linking is important because it facilitates people finding, and reading, your article. HTH. TerriersFan 18:29, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Fred Swan Blue Moon.jpg
I think that we could have a problem with the licensing of this image. On reflection this looks as if it was lifted from the specified website which is a definite 'no, no'. I think more information about its providence is needed :-( TerriersFan 02:49, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I know. And I have no clue how to get an image onto the page. I can't find any pictures of him, and his artwork is clearly commercial, so I can't use that. Can I take a picture of one of his prints that hangs on my wall and then se that? Would it be considered my own work?
And I need some help on redirecting. I created a page entitled Mining in Roman Britain, and I linked a few pages to it, but no one is going to type in Mining in Roman Britain. I mean, come on. So, how can I get people to the article if they type in a different title? Bmrbarre 15:12, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
