Bo Pelini

Mark "Bo" Pelini (born December 13, 1967 in Youngstown, Ohio) is the defensive coordinator for Louisiana State University. He is currently in his second season with the Tigers.
Pelini was raised in Youngstown, Ohio, a former center of steel production with a strong athletic tradition. He played free safety for Ohio State University from 1987 to 1990, starting for the Buckeyes in 1989 and 1990. Pelini served as a team co-captain in his senior year, along with Vinnie Clark, Jeff Graham and Greg Frey.
His coaching career has included stints with the San Francisco 49ers (defensive backs), the New England Patriots (linebackers), the Green Bay Packers (linebackers), the Nebraska Cornhuskers (defensive coordinator) and the Oklahoma Sooners (co-defensive coordinator). Pelini was also interim head coach at the time of the Cornhuskers' 2003 Alamo Bowl victory over Michigan State.
