The Borg Assimilator is a Star Trek-themed roller coaster at Carowinds, near Charlotte, North Carolina. It was relocated from Great America where it was named STEALTH, in 2002. The Borg, as it is commonly called, was built by Vekoma of the Netherlands.

[edit] Ride Layout
As the train pulls into the station it is lifted into an upright position and is laid back down with riders on their backs as it departs. A small turn exists directly before the 115 foot tall lift. After the lift a gentle sloped, small drop exist directly before the "lie-to-fly" element when riders are first turned into the flying position. In the flying position a large turn about 100 feet in the air brings riders the biggest drop on the ride, although the drop isn't steep. A horseshoe element (resembles an overbanked turn from Intamin) is directly after the small drop followed by a "fly-to-lie" element which is exactly opposite from the "lie-to-fly". After the turn, following the fly-to-lie, riders are taken into a loop preceding another lie-to-fly with a turn. Riders are quickly taken, once again, into the lying position as they turn around a large piece of Star Trek scenery. Two corkscrews follow and then the brake run.

- The Star Trek theme was licensed while the park was still owned by Paramount Pictures.
- The Borg, as it seems to most people, is one of Carowinds least reliable coasters, breaking down many times throughout the duration of the season.
- Relocated from Great America, the reason for Great America only having the ride for 2 years is due to the park's Boomerang Bay Water Park location. The coaster was removed because its 3 acre location was perfect for the new "park" within the park.
- This is a prototype coaster (meaning it was the first of its kind from the ride manufacturer)
- The Borg has a low capacity compared to its highly rated partner Top Gun. Borg's capacity per hour: 1,000 people. Top Gun's: 1,380
- During the loop riders in the front car can wave at those in the back as they look directly at them.
- As the riders go along they pass a giant, crashed Borg sphere.
- It took 1,102 tons of steel to build Borg Assimilator
- Borg replaced the Carolina Sternwheeler Riverboat attraction, one of the park's original rides.

- The ride malfunctioned on March 18, 2007 during pre-season testing. Seven employees riding at the time were minorly injured. See Incidents at Cedar Fair parks for more information.
