Brooke Knapp (b. unknown), is an American aviatrix, entrepreneur and Realtor, best known for setting or breaking more than 100 world aviation speed records including the fastest speed around the world in a civilian jet aircraft in a Gulfstream III. Her 1984 Flight for World's Children flew through the People's Republic of China and the Soviet Union delivering letters of peace and friendship from children in the United States to children around the world and raised almost $1 million for UNICEF. For this accomplishment, she received the Federal Aviation Award for Extraordinary Service and the Harmon Trophy.
Knapp is currently a licensed Realtor with Sotheby's International Realty and serves on the Board of Directors of MyJets, Inc. [[1]]. Previously, she founded and operated her own company, Jet Airways, Inc. and served as President of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Ex-husband Charles Knapp, former Chairman of Financial Corporation of America and American Savings & Loan Association and three co-defendants were recently successfully tried for bank fraud. Ms. Knapp is widely suspected of (allegedly) engaging in felonious activities herself in defrauding rent-with-option-to-buy customers through her real estate dealings. Criminal and civil cases against her for breach of contract and grand larceny are pending.
