Buckswood School is an international school that was founded in 1978. It is located between the towns of Rye and Hastings, have recently relocated there from Uckfield, in East Sussex, UK.
Buckswood School is a boarding school for both girls and boys aged 10 to 19. The school follows the National Curriculum for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, preparing pupils for GCSE and A-level qualifications.
Approximately half of the school's pupils are native English speakers. There are also pupils from Russia, Khazakstan, Japan and the United States.
The school is part of the Buckswood Education Group, whose main campus is at the UK-based school. The group also have international schools in the United States and New Zealand.
The school is currently participating in a project to build facilities for orphans in Swaziland, having recently taken a small group there. It also annually takes on students who have been been affected by the accident at Chernobyl.[citation needed]
