From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bujanovačka Banja (Bujanovac Spa) is situated in the south of Serbia, at the height of 400m above sea level.
The spa's surroundings are characterized by a delicately preserved environment and splendid natural scenery, making this entire region of Prohorovo a proclaimed area of exceptional natural values.
The Monastery Prohor Pčinjski (11th century) is surrounded by lodges built in the manner of medieval architecture. Protected by a hundred-year-old forest and encircled by a crystal-clear river, it reminds us of a medieval castle where absolute peace reigns. The shelter of the Prohor Pcinjski monastery offers exceptional hospitality to tourists desiring a holiday in the silence of the untouched nature.
The guests of the Spa have at their disposal a fitness room, sauna bath, basketball, fields and tennis courts.
[edit] Curative Factors
Bujanovačka Banja is unique due to the fact that the Spa has at one place three exceptionally important curative factors: thermal mineral water, mud baths, and natural gas.
The mineral waters of Bujanovačka Banja are bottled, while its medicinal mud (peloid) is processed and packed, so it could be used in home care. The temperature of the Spa thermal waters is 43 degrees Celsius.
