From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Canadian Airports Council (CAC) is the Canadian trade association for Canada's airports. Formed in 1991, as the devolution of airports to local control was beginning under Canada's National Airports Policy, the CAC has 43 members that represent more than 150 airports. These include all of Canada's National Airports System airports and other commercial airports in every province and territory.
CAC members include the eight largest airports in Canada:
- Calgary Airport Authority (Calgary International Airport)
- Edmonton Airports (Edmonton International Airport)
- Halifax International Airport Authority
- Aeroports de Montreal (Trudeau International Airport and Mirabel International Airport)
- Ottawa International Airport Authority
- Greater Toronto Airport Authority (Pearson International Airport)
- Vancouver International Airport Authority
- Winnipeg Airport Authority (Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport)
The CAC is affiliated with Airports Council International through membership in ACI-North America. CAC is also a regular participant, along with other Canadian aviation associations, in Transport Canada's regulatory consultation body the Canadian Aviation Regulation Advisory Council.
