Capitão Brasil (character)

Capitão Brasil is a character from the Capitão Brasil series. He is the main star in this Brazillian comic series which debuted about 2004. Since there are no English version of the series, his name keeps as spelled in Portuguese. For some, Capitain Brasil/Capitain Brazil, Brasil/Brazil Capt. or even Lt. Brazilian (even unprobable) is gonna be the name of him in the rumored English version, which is said to debut aroun mid-2007. Since these informations are unnoficial, Capitão Brasil keeps being his unique name.

Capitão Brasil hero-like suit are yellow, with a green detail in region of underwear, like Superman and other known heroes. These colors are an allusion for Brazilian flag, just like red and blue suits for American heroes. Although he is said to be a hero, Capitão doesn't has developed muscles or powerful fists. In his arms, there are cardboard made pictures, resembling Cristo Redentor in his left arm and Pão de Açucar in his right. in the middle of the top of his suit, there's a big "CB" logo, standing for Capitão Brasil, like the "S" of Superman, but stilized like a shiel with 27 stars, in a reference of Brazilian states.
