[edit] Welcome!
Hello, CaptainAmerica. I see you've just created your User page. Welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Read the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
–Hajor
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
[edit] Come and vote your mind
Dear Christian friend,
I saw you on the list of Christian Wikipedians and wanted to let you know about something. The other day, someone nominated 12 Christian biography entries for deletion! They include a Christian university list of people (not unlike 68 other lists like it)[1], presidents of universities, and authors of many books.
Since that time, people have been voting. Please take this message as a call to vote; not a call to vote a certain way. I respect you and your ability to come, read the entry, and make a wise decision. In other words, I’m not vote stacking or campaigning; simply letting you know something that you’d probably like to know.
By the way, my friend recently started an organization called Wiki4Christ. If you’d like to join a network of Christians with a purpose on Wikipedia, please see the site!
Below are some of the links that need attention. Thanks for your consideration.

[edit] Crossing flags
I would like to ask you not to cross official flags on your user page. Imagine someone did that to yours. This is even considered a crime in many countries. I just regard that as bad manners. I am sure you are able to express your reasonable opinion in a respectful way. ROGNNTUDJUU! 20:52, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- I cross the flags of the UN and the ACLU. Those are not countries. No one is a 'citizen' of the UN. -- CaptainAmerica
- You had also a crossed flag of the EU. It has been deleted. Please find a more respectful way to show your legitimate criticism of organizations than crossing their official symbols. ROGNNTUDJUU! 00:38, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't make the infobox. You should complain to whoever did. -- CaptainAmerica
- I did not want to disrespect you by leaving you with a red link without knowing why. Individuals joining any action are responsible on their own, so I think it was the right thing to turn to the users of the image. It also was not an official template any longer whose creator could have been addressed, users just set it up on their pages using the same image. ROGNNTUDJUU! 02:51, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia_talk:Censorship
A revised version of the proposed policy against censorship is now open for voting. Will you kindly review the policy and make your opinions known? Thank you very much. Loom91 11:47, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Robert Heron (TechTV)
Hey, please report the ipvandal if he does it again at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. I did after this last time, but they normally don't do anything (this time included) unless it's recent. --Falcorian (talk) 05:26, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Dltvscreenshot.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Dltvscreenshot.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:06, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:OPMMagazineCover.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:OPMMagazineCover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
