Chandler's Ford railway station is a station in Hampshire in the United Kingdom. It serves the Chandler's Ford area of Eastleigh. It is on the Eastleigh-Romsey Line.
[edit] History
The station was opened by the LSWR in 1847. Passenger services ceased in May of 1969, except for occasional diverted trains and railtours which ran without stopping at Chandler's Ford.
The station was rebuilt and reopened for passenger traffic in May 2003, although the building was not completed until later in the year. The station was officially opened in October 2003 by TV gardener Charlie Dimmock who lives in the area. The station originally had two platforms, but only one is in use since it was re-opened, as there is only single track through the station.
[edit] Services
Chandler's Ford station is operated by South West Trains. It has an hourly service in each direction between Romsey and Totton via Southampton.
