Chaparral High School is a public high school in Las Vegas, Nevada of the Clark County School District. It is located in the east side of the town. The school was established in the Fall of 1973. Its mascot is the Cowboy and its school colors are orange and black. Another mascot it is known for is Yosemite Sam and its fight song is the famous theme from the movie The Magnificent Seven.
The recent graduating class of 2006 played against Valley High School in a unique 31-year reunion homecoming football game; Valley High was where Chaparral's first graduating class (1975) originated. The Student Body Officers are as follows: Katilin Reaves (President), Darryllyn Thomas (1st Vice President),Karmel Kwan (2nd Vice President), Alana Werner (Secretary), Desirée Seeley (Treasurer), Nicole Saggio (Historian). The Student Body President for the following year is Nicole Lomeli.

- Anthony E. Zuiker is the creator and executive producer of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He graduated in 1986 from Chaparral, and went on to graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Arts in English. A new school theatre is named after him, the Anthony E. Zuiker Theatre.
- Dustin Lee Abraham writer of the film How High as well as a writer and producer of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He was Anthony Zuiker's acting and writing protege and attended Chaparral five years after Zuiker graduated.
- Helen Salas (2004) - Miss Nevada Teen USA 2004 (2nd runner-up at Miss Teen USA), Miss Nevada USA 2007
- Brandon Flowers is the lead singer of The Killers.
- Joey Slotnick is a TV and film actor who graduated from Chaparral in 1986.
- Mark Slaughter formed the rock band Slaughter (band).
- Ginger Fish, drummer for Marilyn Manson and others, attended Chaparral back when he was Kenny Wilson.]]

The school is located in East Las Vegas, North of Flamingo Road and East of Sandhill. Take the Flamingo West Exit off of US-95. They can be contacted at 702-799-7580 and are open from 6:30 A.M. - 3 P.M. Monday - Friday.
