This is a list of the characters from the movies Highlander, Highlander II: The Quickening, Highlander III: The Sorcerer and Highlander: Endgame. It should be noted that Highlander: Endgame follows Highlander: The Series, therefore it follows a different continuity from the other movies.

This is the list of the main characters of the movies. In this list are present the lead characters of each movie, plus the characters with multiple appearances:
- Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) - The main character of the first three movies, he shares the lead with Duncan MacLeod in Endgame. The "Highlander" is an over 500 years old Immortal who must fight fearful enemies to win the The Game. Appearances: Highlander, Highlander II: The Quickening, Highlander III: The Sorcerer, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Series.
- Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) - Connor's clansman and best friend, he shares the protogonism with him in Endgame. Will be the main character in the upcoming movie Highlander: The Source. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Source.
- Ramírez (Sean Connery) - Connor's first mentor, Ramírez was killed by The Kurgan in Highlander. He is resuscitated in Highlander II to help Connor again. Appearances: Highlander, Highlander II: The Quickening.
- Rachel Ellenstein (Sheila Gish) - A child of war, she was adopted by Connor MacLeod. Through the years their relationship evolved from a father/daughter relationship to a brother/sister one. She was killed by Jacob Kell in Endgame. Appearances: Highlander, Highlander: Endgame.
- Heather MacLeod (Beatie Edney) - Connor's first wife, Heather was a mortal. They lived a peaceful life, except the few occasions Immortals interfered, until her death. Appearances: Highlander, Highlander: Endgame.
- Joe Dawson (Jim Byrnes) - MacLeod's Watcher. He becomes a close friend to MacLeod and his friends. He will appear in the upcoming movie Highlander: The Source. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, Highlander: The Raven, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Source.
- Methos (Peter Wingfield) - The legendary "oldest Immortal" and Duncan's friend, always ready to advise him. He will appear in the upcoming movie Highlander: The Source. Appearances: Highlander: The Series, The Methos Chronicles, Highlander: Endgame, Highlander: The Source.

[edit] Immies and Mortals
- Brenda Wyatt (Roxanne Hart) - Connor MacLeod's second wife. They met in 1985, at the time of "The Gathering", when Connor faced The Kurgan. The means of her death varies by sequel (see main article). Appearances: Highlander.
- Louise Marcus (Virginia Madsen) - An environmentalist in 2024, she asked MacLeod to help her take down the evil Shield Corporation, but got caught up in Immortal business. After the problems were over, she begun a new life with Connor. Appearances: Highlander II: The Quickening.
- Nakano (Mako) - Connor's second mentor and Ramírez former mentor, he was a master of illusion. He was beheaded by Kane. Appearances: Highlander III: The Sorcerer.
- John MacLeod (Gabriel Kakon) - Connor and Brenda's adoptive son. After Brenda's death, Connor and John moved to Marrakech and lived peacefully until Kane's arrival. Appearances: Highlander III: The Sorcerer.
- Alex Johnson (Kara Deborah Unger) - She was in charge of the escavations that freed Kane. Her curiosity led her to Connor MacLeod and the two fell in love. After killing Kane and becoming mortal, Connor begun a new life with Alex. Appearances: Highlander III: The Sorcerer.
- Kate MacLeod (Lisa Barbuscia) - Duncan MacLeod's only wife, she was Immortal. When she was a pre-Immortal, killed so they could be together forever. She held a grudge for years, until made peace with each other and restarted their marriage. Appearances: Highlander: Endgame.
[edit] Kimmies and Enemies
- The Kurgan (Clancy Brown) - The most evil and powerful Immortal that ever existed, he faced MacLeod in the 1985 Gathering. In the end, MacLeod was victorious. Appearances: Highlander.
- General Katana (Michael Ironside) - General Katana was a madman who ruled the Immortals before they reborn as so and participated in The Game. When Connor won the Game, Katana tried to kill him, but failed and died. Appearances: Highlander II: The Quickening.
- Kane (Mario Van Peebles) - Kane was a Mongolian warrior who killed Connor's master, Nakano, and gained from him the power of illusion. His was trapped in a cave for 400 years and challenged MacLeod after escaping. MacLeod killed him. Appearances: Highlander III: The Sorcerer.
- Jacob Kell (Bruce Payne) - Connor's clansman, he burned Connor's mother alive for being the mother of "the devil". Connor killed him and he became Immortal. To make Connor suffer he tried to kill all his loved ones. He targeted Duncan, but ended up losing his head to him. Appearances: Highlander: Endgame.
