Charles James Barclay

Charles James Barclay (born September 8, 1843) was a United States Navy officer. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1863, and retired as a rear-admiral in 1905.
Barclay took part in the capture of the Confederate cruiser CSS Florida in Bahia, Brazil on board the USS Kearsarge 1865-1866. He was commandant of the Naval War Academy, 1900, and was captain of the Navy yards at Boston and then at Puget Sound.
