Charlie Adam (born October 12, 1985) is a Scottish footballer and son of ex-professional player Charles Adam snr, who played for Partick Thistle among other teams in Scotland. Adam is 6'1" tall and weighs 13 stone.
Adam currently plays for Scottish Premier League side Rangers. He made his first appearance for Rangers in May 2004 and has played sporadically since, becoming more of a first team regular under Paul Le Guen. He is a left/attacking midfielder. Adam has been called-up for under 21 level football with Scotland and is hoping he will receive his national cap soon.
Adam spent much of 2005-06 on-loan at St. Mirren, having previously spent nine months on loan at Ross County.
Adam started the 2006-07 Scottish football season with Rangers in their match with Motherwell. After an impressive performance, he continued to be a regular for Rangers at the start of season and scored his first goal for the club in the 3-2 UEFA Cup win over Livorno Calcio on 19 October 2006. He followed up that effort with a free-kick equaliser on his return to Love Street, as Rangers beat St. Mirren 3-2. He has since scored again in Europe against Maccabi Haifa (2-0, penalty), Dundee United (1-2), Kilmarnock (3-0) and Dundee United again (5-0) following up this scoring record with the winner against Dunfermline (1-0) at East End Park.
