Cherinbo (チェリンボ? Cherinbo in original Japanese language versions) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards, and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Cherinbo in the games, anime, and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon—untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments—and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Its name is a portmanteau of the English word cherry and the Japanese word for cherry (桜ん坊 sakuranbo?).

[edit] Biological characteristics
Cherinbo seems to resemble a pair of cherries. Both have faces, but only one of them has small feet and is larger (compare with Weezing). This one seems to have more control than the other. One has eyes open, and the other has eyes closed.
The smaller cherry is used for its nutrients by the bigger cherry, when it is close to evolution, the smaller cherry begins to wilt. This smaller cherry is also very sweet and delicious.
[edit] In the video games
Cherinbo can be found in Sweet Honey Trees in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, using the Sweet Honey item, which comes from Mitsuhoney after it battles. One would think that wild Cherinbo may be holding Cheri Berries (the berry that cures paralysis), given what they are based on, but instead there is a chance that they may hold Miracle Seed.
Cherinbo is used by Sinnoh Gym Leader Natane.
Cherinbo's strong points are its Special Attack and Special Defense. Its ability, Chlorophyll, raises its speed in strong sunlight.
