[edit] "Nippy" or "beaky"
The article seems a little negative when it comes to the term "beaky". It acts as though "nippy" and "beaky" are the same thing, and that neither should be encouraged; however, amongst people who actually have birds (and bird magazines such as BirdTalk), "beaky" is never used in conjunction with nipping, instead it is used to say that the bird uses its beak to explore its environment, the same way humans use their hands--saying that being "beaky" is the same as being "nippy" is like saying that touching an object is the same as slapping it.
